I didn't think that much of TC's portrayal. David did look quite young at that time though, so if the acting was up to scratch (we'll never know) I think I would have been drawn to Lestat! David as a vampire? Apparently, he was vying for the role that Tom Cruise won in "Interview with a Vampire". He doesn't mention this in his book; I think I read it on the DC Forever forum. Personally, I have trouble believing it because of the age difference between the two actors but I suppose it is possible.
