David Cassidy: Intoxication Defined

Day 15 of the 30-day Blogging Challenge

By Staingirl Kaye

Hi friends!!! I’m a little late this morning in posting, I apologize. And “Hello!” to Elle’s progeny. You must be getting a bit of an education in reading these posts and comments, huh? Did you know that grown women could go so gaga over an idol? LOL!! ;-)

When I had the idea of showcasing David’s eyelashes, I remembered this one video I loved because there were so many close up pictures of his beautiful face while he was performing. That is where the image Eyelashes All Over The Place came to mind. But when I did that post, I had somehow lost track of the video. I couldn’t find it again because I had forgotten the song that accompanied it.

This past week, Daydreaming David’s Live Wishlist blog post spurred me to take out some time to learn more about David’s work. In doing so, I finally stumbled onto that video again!!!! It was immediately obvious because I had left one of the most recent comments about it: “Eyelashes all over the place.” LOL!!! I’m so elated to have found this again.

You can really appreciate the man’s beauty in these pictures, and the eyelashes especially at 2:57!!! It’s amazing they can cast such shadows on his lovely face.

Now, I know most of you have probably already seen this video, but perhaps you don’t remember the special surprise embedded in it??? I know it’s not Easter, but there is a special prize Easter egg here for you to find. It’s an easy one. You can’t miss it. LOL!!!!!

From cherishdavid’s YouTube channel (thank you, thank you, cherishdavid), get ready to become intoxicated once again from this abundance of evocative David images:

He’s every inch the rock star isn’t he with this song and THOSE images! The eyelashes at 2.57 are just stunning, they look like false eyelashes (but they’re not). I love this song and When I’m a Rock and Roll Star. I wish he had more rock tracks like these from that era. I just love all David’s concert outfits. Looking back it’s all wasted on young girls, twenty-somethings would have loved it for sure!
SingmeDavid, apparantly we’re switching over internet tomorrow (Monday). OH has to fix a new router or something so may not be around for a day or two. When I want to reply, can I paste my new Email address where it says mail or do I do something else? I’ll probably send Email to you so you will recognise my new address. Your choice of videos has been excellent. I love them all.

I thought I saw Mr Happy there a few times!

  • Honestly, I’m more dumbfounded by the fact that we are already into day 15 of your challenge than by this video. Have two weeks really passed since Elle doubted David’s blog-worthiness?

Thanks British Fan!! His outfits were perfect for him!!! They fit like a second skin (thank you Daydreaming David) on his gorgeous lithe body. They were wasted on those young girls who could only swoon with pent up excitement!!! I thought about mentioning the When I’m a Rock and Roll Star song as something that would be great for him to do live on DD’s blog. I love the way he sings it. And yes!!! I believe you found the prize Easter egg!!! LOL!!!!

I won’t send you any emails until I know you’ve successfully switched to the new service. When you say “reply”, I’m assuming you’re talking about this reply form? Yes, you’d just copy and paste your new email address in the box where it says Mail on this form. Then I can send you an email separately so you can add me to your contacts on your new email account. :-)

Daydreaming David, thanks for visiting today!! LOL!!! Yes, it’s been two weeks. Only 7 more posts here on Staingirlz, well, about David anyway. :-)
