<h2>Day 9 of the 30-day Blogging Challenge</h2>
<h2>By Staingirl Kaye</h2>
<p>ITILY. What? That’s what I first thought when I saw this acronym used in conjunction with David Cassidy. To a seasoned fan, that’s a sure marker for one who is NOT a Partridge Family or David Cassidy fan. Well, obviously, I’ve since learned it is none other than the Partridge Family anthem. <em>(Note to Elle’s offspring, your assignment in this David Cassidy lesson is to please leave a comment letting me know that you’ve solved this acronym. I want to make sure you’re paying attention and learning. <img src='http://staingirlz.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> )</em></p>
<p>What made me want to post this today is because Elle posted about Oprah <a title=" yesterday" href=" http://staingirlz.com/2009/11/01/dennis-leary-a-mans-perspective-on-oprah/"> yesterday</a><br />
and David Cassidy performed ITILY on Oprah in 2008. For PF and DC fans alike, it was a heartwarming performance. The audience, a bit more mature now as well, has managed to restrain themselves somewhat but they&#8217;re still pretty enthusiastic about the whole thing. I wasn’t able to embed this video so I provided a link to it at the end of this post.</p>
<p>But first I wanted you to see a very young David &#8220;then&#8221;, even before the shag, lip syncing this song (thanks to <a title="fritz5112" href="http://www.youtube.com/user/fritz5112">fritz5112</a>). He’s adorable to say the least:</p>
<p><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xl6yXBnLYYM&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1&#038;color1=0xcc2550&#038;color2=0xe87a9f"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xl6yXBnLYYM&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1&#038;color1=0xcc2550&#038;color2=0xe87a9f" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></p>
<p>And now for the <a href="http://www.oprah.com/media/20080601_tows_DAVIDCASSIDYITHINKILOVEYOU_O_VIDEO_1">Oprah version live</a>, wearing the same colors? Interesting. He may look a bit different, but he still knows how to charm his audience. <img src='http://staingirlz.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
